As a traditional, family-run company, we are aware of our responsibility towards our environment, our employees, and the regions in which we operate. That is why we are particularly committed to supporting projects and associations that are socially and ecologically engaged and contribute to better coexistence and environmental protection and nature conservation. In this way, we play a sustainable role in shaping culture, public space, and society.
We take responsibility for a better future

Cologne Green Foundation
We are Cologne's GREEN FOUNDERS
The Cologne Green System is unique in Europe and of great urban, ecological, and cultural-historical significance. In order to halt the gradual decline of the green spaces, brothers Paul Bauwens-Adenauer and Dr. Patrick Adenauer founded the Cologne Green Foundation. This was motivated by personal commitment, but also by the fact that their grandfather Konrad Adenauer, as mayor of Cologne, was the father of the green belt.

Temporary use of Flint Group headquarters
Supporting creative people and artists
Thanks to a joint initiative by Bauwens and Zwischennutzer GmbH, an area of approximately 17,000 square meters on the former Flint Group site is currently being made available to artists and creative professionals at low cost. Since mid-2023, the creative hotspot LORDation II has been hosting art exhibitions, markets, and other open-air events on the site in the south of Cologne.

Kthc Stadium Red-White
Simply better as a team
Success has a long tradition at the Cologne Tennis and Hockey Club. The hockey department has won numerous championship titles. This makes KTHC Stadion Rot-Weiss one of the most successful hockey clubs in Germany. Bauwens is a long-standing supporter of the club and is delighted with both the fantastic performances of the athletes and the excellent youth work carried out by the Cologne-based club.

Society for Modern Art at the Museum Ludwig E.V.
Museum Ludwig
Promoting modern and contemporary art and making it accessible to the public through exhibitions at the Museum Ludwig is part of the mission of the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst, the museum's association of friends and patrons. Bauwens shares this commitment. As a long-standing sponsor, we support the annual presentation of the Wolfgang Hahn Prize, which honors exceptional contemporary artists who are important for the future of the museum's collection. Our support makes it possible to present and publish information about the respective prize.

Code University of Applied Sciences
At the highest level.
A new university for the digital pioneers of tomorrow—that is the credo to which this private university in Berlin has committed itself. New, innovative courses for the digital world of tomorrow. As a company that also strives for digital innovation, Bauwens is convinced of the future-oriented concept of the Code University of Applied Science.

Germany Scholarship
For talented young professionals
The Germany Scholarship is the largest public-private project in the field of education ever launched in Germany. Since 2011, it has been providing talented students from all disciplines across Germany with 300 euros per month. What makes it special is that €150 is contributed by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, and individuals. The other half is contributed by the federal government.
