    On the site of the former Zurich Insurance building in Cologne’s Altstadt-Nord district, a modern, mixed-use complex consisting of existing buildings and new construction will be developed in the near future.
    Bauwens has been commissioned by Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany to construct more than 48,000 qm of gross floor area. A total of 286 apartments will be built—representing a total of 24,000 qm of living space.
    Of these, 88 apartments will be subsidized housing. The new complex will also feature a daycare center and several commercial units.

    Whether you’re single or a couple—there’s something for everyone in the new complex. The plans include everything from 1-bedroom apartments measuring 38 square meters to 6-bedroom apartments spanning 120 square meters. A new home for everyone is taking shape right on the banks of the Rhine.

    The location stands out for its proximity to the Rhine, making it ideal for walks. Tram lines 16 and 18 are within a five-minute walk. Restaurants and shopping options are also located in the immediate vicinity.
