A new, lively urban quarter is being created in the popular Heerdt district of Düsseldorf: VIERZIG549. In collaboration with project partner DIE WOHNKOMPANIE NRW, Bauwens is developing a modern living and working environment on an area of 140,000 square meters.
The project offers a wide range of living options, from one-room to five-room apartments, to suit different stages of life. With 3,000 square meters of public green space, a five-group daycare center, and two integrated local retailers (dm-Drogeriemarkt and ALDI S&U;D), , the necessary infrastructure for daily needs is conveniently within walking distance.
The colorful life in VIERZIG549 is further enlivened by the hustle and bustle in the office and commercial spaces. In addition to the retail space at the end of the neighborhood, there are further small-scale spaces in the adjacent buildings that will serve to meet everyday needs. In the future, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, restaurants, a wine bar, and a delicatessen/organic market will find their place there.
Starting in 2026, the W12 apartment complex on Willstätterstraße will be built on a neighboring plot of land by VIERZIG549, actively integrating it into the neighborhood planning. Approximately 223 additional apartments and a two-stream daycare center are to be built in four buildings on an area of 12,413 square meters.
