In Berlin’s Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district, on Mierendorff Island, Bauwens is currently planning a new complex. An urban complex featuring apartments, offices, commercial spaces, and a daycare center is set to be built on the 3-hectare, disused fuel storage facility. The new complex will be complemented by large public green spaces and playgrounds.
The Berlin-based architectural firm Stephan Höhne Gesellschaft von Architekten mbH prevailed over several other architectural firms and has been commissioned to develop the concept further.
