A former industrial area in the west of Munich is being transformed into the innovative apartment complex EASY: Over the next few years, a home for around 5,500 people will be built on Paul-Gerhardt-Allee. In addition to 2,400 apartments, a fifty-classroom elementary school with a sports hall and a daycare center will be built on the 33-hectare site in Pasing-Obermenzing. There will also be shops and public green spaces. Various footpaths and cycle paths provide quick access to the Pasing S-Bahn station in the west and Nymphenburg Palace Park in the east.
The name reflects the core idea behind the project: EASY is designed to make life easier for its residents. For example, parcel deliveries can be redirected to parcel boxes, which can be used as needed. The underground car park will have 30 parking spaces with electric charging stations, and the apartments will be equipped with smart home infrastructure.
Bauwens was responsible for completing a 22,600 square meter site. A total of 305 apartments, spread over 13 buildings, were created on this site.
The special feature of the construction project was House 1, an eight-story building with 88 apartments on the main corner of the land, which was designed as a landmark. The seventh and eighth floors of the residential tower now house the nine sky lofts, which can be freely designed by the buyers. All 13 buildings were completed in June 2021.
