Not far from Potsdamer Platz, right next to the Park am Gleisdreieck, lies Gleis Park in the heart of Berlin. The project owes its exclusive location to the partial demolition of an existing parking garage. Designed by the architectural firm KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten, the garage was “cut open” so that four buildings with a total of 178 apartments form an ensemble in the midst of the parking garage, which remains in use.
In total, more than 10,000 square meters of living space were created here without sacrificing a single centimeter of green space.
The project stands out for its extraordinary and urban architecture. All apartments face the park and feature modern, efficient floor plans with ceiling heights of 2.80 meters and floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition, each apartment has been finished with carefully selected materials and offers new residents numerous amenities.
Large green spaces, covering approximately 26 hectares, alternate with playgrounds, sports fields, untouched wild areas, and gardens. Families, singles, and couples can enjoy the great amenities of a big city within walking distance, while also finding peace and relaxation right on their doorstep.
