The new apartment complex at Südallee 98 in Urdenbach is being built on the land of the Heilig-Geist-Kirche (Holy Spirit Church) of the Protestant parish of Urdenbach. A total of 66 residential units are being built here, including 50 senior-friendly apartments and 15 apartments for families. More than a quarter of the apartments are publicly subsidized.
A day care center and a community room are also being built here.
The parish will remain on site and continue to offer services to interested parties. In addition, an advice center will be set up for the residents of the complex. The neighboring daycare center will be given a new, easily recognizable address.
The complex integrates elements that serve the common good and creates shared, interconnected open spaces while preserving the privacy of residents.
The buildings meet high standards of sustainability and energy efficiency and are designed to have a minimal ecological footprint. Plans include a hybrid timber construction, green roofs, a photovoltaic system for tenant electricity, play areas, and high-quality architecture in the facade design and floor plan structure.
