The new Südallee 98 apartment complex in Urdenbach is being built on the land of the Heilig-Geist-Kirche, part of the Urdenbach Evangelical Church congregation. A total of 65 residential units will be constructed here, including 50 senior-friendly apartments and 15 apartments for families. More than a quarter of the apartments will be publicly subsidized.
A daycare center and a community room will also be built here.
The parish will remain on site and continue to offer services to those interested. In addition, a counseling office will be set up for the complex’s residents. The neighboring daycare center will be given a new, easily recognizable address.
The complex incorporates elements designed for the common good and creates interconnected open spaces for communal use, while preserving residents’ privacy.
The buildings meet high standards for sustainability and energy efficiency and are designed to minimize their ecological footprint. Plans include a hybrid wood construction, green roofs, a photovoltaic system to generate electricity for residents, play areas, and high-quality architectural design for the facades and floor plans.
