    The non-profit housing cooperative "Grundstein" eG is dedicated to the comprehensive renovation of a cooperative housing development in Cologne’s Raderberg neighborhood. The project on Mannsfelder Straße covers 7,000 square meters of living space and provides a total of 86 apartments.

    The old buildings were replaced with modern structures that offer tenants generous private outdoor spaces. On the south side, the buildings feature cantilevered balcony galleries with sliding shutters that blend playfully into the facade. In the northern section, garden plots were created for the residents.

    Bauwens handled the turnkey construction for this project. The entire project was completed in June 2024.
