The ambitious residential development complex, the Arche-Noah-Quartier, was completed in the Düsseltal neighborhood of Düsseldorf. Bauwens built approximately 11,000 square meters of living space here for the Düsseldorf Housing Cooperative, comprising 138 two- to five-room apartments. 45% of the apartments are publicly subsidized. A three-group daycare center complements the complex.
What makes it special: It is the largest apartment complex in North Rhine-Westphalia built using a hybrid timber construction method. A photovoltaic system also covers a large portion of the residents’ electricity needs.
For the residents, the complex offers a new home with appealing architecture and many attractive communal spaces that enable contemporary urban living.
