    Bauwens is currently planning a new complex in Berlin Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, on Mierendorff Island. An urban quarter with apartments, offices, commercial units, and a daycare center is to be built on the 3-hectare, disused tank farm. The new development will be rounded off by large public green spaces and playgrounds.

    The Berlin architects Stephan Höhne Gesellschaft von Architekten mbH prevailed against various other architects and have been commissioned to flesh out the concept.
