Not far from Potsdamer Platz, directly adjacent to the Gleisdreieck park, lies Gleis Park in the heart of Berlin. The project owes its exclusive location to the partial demolition of an existing parking garage. This was "cut open" according to the design by the architectural firm KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten, creating four buildings with a total of 178 apartments that form an ensemble in the middle of the parking garage, which continues to be used.
In total, more than 10,000 square meters of living space were created here without sacrificing a single centimeter of green space.
The project impresses with its unusual and urban architecture. All apartments face the park and have modern and efficient floor plans with ceiling heights of 2.80 meters and floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition, each apartment has been furnished with selected materials and offers new residents numerous amenities.
Large green spaces alternate with playgrounds, sports areas, untouched wild areas, and gardens on approximately 26 hectares. Families, singles, and couples can enjoy the great amenities of a big city while also having peace and relaxation right outside their front door.
