A new car-free residential complex is being built in the heart of Cologne's lively Ehrenfeld district, combining modern architecture with a sustainable lifestyle. The green facades of the seven apartment buildings not only create an aesthetically pleasing environment, but also help to improve the microclimate. Bauwens is building a total of 109 apartments for DIE WOHNKOMPANIE NRW on a 4,518 m² plot of land.
A special highlight of the residential complex is the communal roof garden, which inspires neighborly activities. In addition to the communal gardens, some apartments have individually designed roof gardens, some of which are allocated as special rights of use and offer residents additional private outdoor space.
The residential complex offers a large playground for families and children. The residential complex is being built in accordance with the KfW 40 standard.
In addition to 65 parking spaces in the underground garage, there is a strong focus on sustainable mobility: 300 bicycle parking spaces are available to residents. This mobility concept promotes environmentally friendly transportation in urban areas.
