Munich continues to grow: a new residential area is being built on an 8.3-hectare site south of Truderinger Strasse in Berg am Laim.
Over the next few years, 201 publicly subsidized residential units comprising 1-3 room apartments will be built. The integration of a ground-floor daycare center will transform the formerly undeveloped site into a lively and family-friendly environment.
Despite the conversion of a green space into a residential area, much of the former charm will be retained. While car-free lanes provide a seamless connection to the green space along the Hachinger Bach stream, the complex is protected from noise by a closed development. The new building is rounded off by planted courtyards and roof gardens.
