Munich continues to grow: A new residential development is taking shape on an 8.3-hectare site south of Truderinger Straße in Berg am Laim.
Over the next few years, 201 publicly subsidized housing units—ranging from one- to three-room apartments—will be built. With the addition of a ground-floor daycare center, the formerly undeveloped site will be transformed into a vibrant and family-friendly neighborhood.
Despite the conversion of a green space into a residential area, much of its former charm will be preserved. While car-free alleys provide a seamless connection to the green corridor along the Hachinger Bach, the complex itself is protected from noise by a closed-in development. The new development is complemented by landscaped courtyards and rooftop gardens.
