Bauwens developed and built the new office and administration building in Essen for AOK Rheinland/Hamburg. The new regional headquarters of the health insurance company, which brings together several organisational units, was built as part of a public tender process, for which Bauwens qualified in a joint venture with Hochtief Development.
During the construction phase, the sale was completed through a share deal with Hannover Leasing for a closed-end public fund.
The planning concept developed by Bauwens in collaboration with JSWD Architekten forms the basis of an urban and economically convincing approach for a needs-based property that blends harmoniously into its surroundings as the entrance to Essen's new "Green Center."
Within 20 months, a modern office building with a total rental area of 14,400 square meters was constructed. In addition, there is a single-story underground parking garage with 125 parking spaces.
