The EDGE HafenCity project has created one of Hamburg’s most advanced commercial properties. This project sets new standards in design, user well-being, and technological innovation. The client, EDGE Technologies, is a leading specialist in the development of a new generation of highly innovative and sustainable office properties. At the heart of this approach are the users and their well-being. Spanning over 30,000 square meters, EDGE HafenCity offers a smart mix of office space, flexible workspaces, studios, conference areas, and dining and recreational spaces. The goal is to redefine the modern workplace—as a driver of health, sustainability, and innovation.
The building consists of a seven-story base structure and a 15-story tower at the southwest corner. Inside the energy-neutral building, cutting-edge smart office technologies are used to continuously optimize lighting, air quality, and temperature. With the HafenCity Econlabel and the WELL Building Standard, we are striving to meet two of the highest building standards.
A distinctive feature of the building is its focus on shared spaces. An open, light-filled atrium promotes social interaction and creates a relaxed atmosphere. The Park District, with its outdoor terrace, offers a unique view of the Hanseatic city.
The Elbrücken sub-district completes what is currently the largest inner-city urban development project in Europe. Through our services in detailed design and construction, we have helped make this visionary project a reality.
