    HanseMerkur Grundvermögen has purchased the northern portion of the Goldschmied Carré in Cologne. The land, which spans approximately 3,200 square meters, is situated in a prime downtown location on Roncalliplatz, in the immediate vicinity of Cologne Cathedral and the main train station. The site is slated to be developed into a complex comprising office, hotel, and retail space. According to current plans, the total leasable area amounts to approximately 15,500 square meters.

    To carry out the construction project, HanseMerkur Grundvermögen has selected the experienced Cologne-based Bauwens Group. Bauwens Development will serve as the service developer. In addition, Bauwens Construction has been commissioned as the General contractor to carry out the first phase of construction.

    The building complex, consisting of several structures, offers an impressive view of the cathedral, especially from the green roof terrace. In addition to office space, plans include a hotel with over 90 rooms, retail and dining spaces, and an underground parking garage.

    The goal is to achieve DGNB Gold certification for the Goldschmied Carré.
