    With the construction of a state-of-the-art logistics center in Cologne-Marsdorf, Bauwens Development is setting new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and future-readiness through this Development for DHL Express Germany. On a plot of land spanning over 20,000 square meters, a facility is being built with approximately 5,500 square meters of production and office space, equipped with a high-performance sorting system capable of handling up to 6,000 shipments per hour, as well as three PUD fingers for 96 delivery vehicles.

    The building is fully designed for the electrification of the vehicle fleet and will be equipped with a 350 kWp photovoltaic system, a heat pump, and a green roof featuring biodiversity modules. The project’s goal of achieving DGNB Gold certification and compliance with the EU taxonomy underscore its high environmental standards. Completion is scheduled for late 2026.
